I have had a few emails this week with regards to Vizsla prices online, asking if we are the same prices. No we are not. We are aware that you will see prices of £3500 for a Vizsla puppy. Some breeds of dogs have always been more than others, such as English bulldogs, French bulldogs, and the reasons were a C Section is often needed. The costs involved in breeding them are much higher than gundogs, plus they have smaller litters. Plus the amount of health testing required for these breeds has pushed prices up.
But the Vizsla should be anything between £1300-£1600 to be a fair price. Breeders that do more health tests or show their dogs have higher expenses than someone having a pet litter. So to see a pet litter at £3500 a puppy is not what we call the going rate for a dog, which some have been led to believe. I would say i do not know anyone personally that charges £3500 and I do know a lot of Vizsla breeders.
Everyone is entitled to charge for their puppies what ever they like, and these litters do get sold quickly. It is up to the buyer.
I hope that answers some of your texts, phone calls etc.
