It's a sad day today as we lost Frodo. He was a dog which did not start life with us and lived in Ireland. I always wished he had been with us from a puppy. He was an Irish champion and he came to us just 18 months ago. He developed a rare tumour in his anus and around inside his bum, it was growing in and around everything so it looked pretty horrible and it grew rapidly. There was no operation which could have cured him and our vet said we would be throwing money away if we even tried as it was the same outcome. Im really grateful for such an honest vet who looks after his clients and to his wife who administered the sedation and was With us whilst Frodo passed. It helps to talk about your dog and remember the good times. He passed in his favourite position which was between my legs having his ears stroked. It's the last kindness we can do for a dog being with them when they leave the world. I was with him whilst his soul left his body.
To my dog. "Good night Frodo and thank you for coming and brightening our whole lifes with your presence, may your soul find us again in the future and we will meet. For now there is another ginger star in the sky beaming down on us. We will see you again my dear boy"! Your mum who is missing you so much.
