Welcome to Silvestre owners dogs
Sometimes we have owners who take dogs and decide they want to get involved with dog activities. So this page is for those who are more than pet dogs. We have some very special dogs here whose owners are particularly just as special. Because their dedication amazes me. You should all be proud of what you have achieved with your dogs. We are proud of you.
We have to remember that pets are just as important and no breeder should think selling to show homes is the most important part of this industry. I have some of my best produced dogs sitting in front of fireplaces. I am always so pleased to get recommendations back and hear how proud our pet owners are. We now host monthly chats. It was so successful we are going to do zoom calls. I call is Social events as you can talk about anything, but if you have a question about your dogs then please ask. It's free advice after all. The only advice I can not give for free is too much behavioural as thats my job so I have to then say it will be a consultation fee.
We are proud to of sold to individuals across the board in jobs especially with in the dog industry, like vets, vet nurses, rescue workers. Im proud they feel they can come to me for a puppy. This is because of the way we raise the puppies and take pride in how we breed them.

BEVERLY HODDINOTT & DELILAH AND MORTIMER.
STAR of the Silvestre team award goes to Beverly with her two French bulldogs. Mortimer and Delilah. Who knew back then that she would embark on a journey that has seen these two do Scent work. Famously in the breed magazine often or breed notes. Famously have been in Our dogs news paper. Famously known through out the scent community. For a start the wonder of can these dogs actually do this was on everyone's lips. But after watching in action trainers, judges etc realise that these two dogs are pretty amazing. But why? It's Beverly without a doubt. Extremely clever in working with her dogs. The French bulldog also gets a bad reputation. But if they can breathe, if they are healthy then they are stubborn and know their job and will work for it. Dogs have been proven time and time again they love to work for what ever reason.
It all started when Delilah who was being shown and won 1 CC and 1 RCC stud book qualified was in a few shows and she just looked miserable. Beverly said I don't know Rach her ears are back, ,she seems bored to me. Im going to find something else. My reply like to all my owners is you've got to do what the dog enjoys. We know ourselves running around a ring, being stuck at a show all day is not for every dog.
At the time of writing and this will change. Delilah is at the top of the Utility board league. Wow just wow. This will change but for now I can put this here and say a big well done D.

Spice has now passed, but she will always deserve a mention on our website. She was a Chilli x Ruby daughter. From one of our earlier breedings of Vizsla. So although now passed we can not forget that Spice achieved what very few Vizsla do which is to become a search and rescue dog. Quite famously in magazines, on the forefront of the team at shows advertising what they do. It takes years to qualify and I'll never forget the day she did. Her owner undertook the training with such commitment and it involves laying in a ditch somewhere waiting for dogs to find you. Spice had that special something and known worldwide with in the community. We are proud to of bred her, and Vicky says she will be back on our door for another in the future which makes us proud breeders. We get so many repeat customers that we are just thankful the dogs ended up being your lifetime soul dogs. I just want to say thank you for choosing us as your breeder. It's always more special when in fact Vicky works for dogs trust rescue.

DIANE AND IVY
Diane has been one of my proudest mentoring experiences. She came to me for a breeding bitch and I said no! ha ha. I always say no. But when I spoke to Diane on a few occasions I saw in her something that inspired me to say YES. Which was dedication to the breed. She wanted to show, had never done it before. So she waited for a puppy and had Hazel Mrytle off us. Myrtle sadly was infertile which happens in all walks of life. This was now 10 years ago. So she came back for another from a different blood line which was Hazel and Hazel has really been the foundation for her bloodline. Im grateful Diane comes back to me, and she asked advice along the way. We have developed a great friendship. Diane then came back for another as she fell in love with one of my show girls called Ripley. Hazel now too old to show, and Ivy has taken her place. Hazel then was bred on her last litter to Maverick and Diane kept two girls. So she is well and truly addicted now! ha ha. I had the pleasure of meeting both puppies in June and Im sure she will have loads of fun with them.

NICKY AND ROXA
Thankyou to Nicky who came to me wanting a puppy in 2024. Nicky lives in the same village as me, and we had met at a few shows, and she loved our dogs. She came to meet Roux one day as we were mating her to Indie, and she loved Roux. It's in one of those rare cases we let someone choose their own dog. We were keeping a puppy ourselves from the mating, but I wanted Nicky to have the pick of the litter because I knew she would show more than I ever would do. Ive got to that stage in life where Im pursuing other dog sports. Im so glad that Roxa is with Nicky and boy has she been a special show dog already. She has won numerous times now and I feel that she will go all the way in championship level. It's extremely hard in the UK to make up champions because of sheer volume of numbers of dogs in shows unlike other countries which you may be the only one entered. In the UK we see numbers from 60 to 230 at shows. Thats a lot of Vizsla to judge isn't it. We are a nation of dog lovers for sure and the UK. should be proud of that fact.
Looking forward to Roxa future as Im sure it's going to be so special.

VERONIKA AND CHILLY
Veronikia is Hungarian and if anyone should want this breed it is from someone of country of origin for the dog. Thankyou for waiting for us also as it took a while for us to have a litter right for Veronika.
Now Chilly is a dog who has a happy life paddle boarding and sits on front of the paddle board. He is a full on happy dog in his life.
Chilly is also trained as a working Gundog and has now been to working trials and he was placed. So we were thrilled for Veronika. I couldnt think of a better person for this dog. It's a match made in heaven.

ERIN AND BEA
Now this was a surprise to me because I did not know at the point of sale that Erin would want to show Bea. So a lovely surprise for us and luckily she had a superb girl from us. The whole litter was good and we had 4 girls which could have easily been shown in this litter. It just worked as we say. Lucky for Erin her local ring craft had some of the most experienced vizsla exhibitors and judges. She got top tips straight away and thank you to Gary Scobell, Donna Holman who gave Erin the boost she needed. It's always so important to take advice from those who have done it for years. Erin we are proud of you.
Erin went to ring craft and was dedicated to her training. Erin did a few open shows and then took the plunge at Blackpool champ show and was 2nd in her class and qualified for Crufts 2026. So we shall watch now Bea with interest.
Bea is also a model and goes to shoots and will be appearing on advertising for companies.

Well here he is Mr Handsome section as we call him. The dog with a huge personality brimming with love. Sandra is proudly owned by Lucca I think. Yes I have that the right way around. He is a Bracco Italiano and he is primarily a pet, but he is also shown on occasion too. He has done very well with some great class wins, and he has qualified for Crufts each year since he was born. Darryl handles Lucca on occasion and so does Emma Longman who owns Hank who is Lucca's father. Together we can help to get him in the ring. Unless it's raining as we found out and he is a bit of a prince on a cushion when it comes to rain. but other than that he struts his stuff around the ring with ease. One of my favourites Ive got to say.
