5 STAR LICENSED BREEDER AND KENNEL CLUB ASSURED BREEDERS. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
PLEASE NOTE INFORMATION CAN CHANGE FROM EACH LITTER.
Welcome to our information page.
We are a 5 star licensed breeder plus Kennel club assured breeder. We have puppies available sometimes during the year. Go to our puppy availability page and send us a contact form. Please do include as much information as possible about you and your family. Below is information you will probably want to know about how we do things. Any questions please do ask us. We can be reached by email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note to reach us by phone you must text Rachel first on 07584279384 from 10.30am to 1.30pm. I will arrange a call back either that day or following day. I do not carry a phone on me, therefore we need to arrange a time to call. Check our CONTACT page for full contact details.
WHAT COMES WITH YOUR PUPPY?
We provide your puppy with 7 days of food for your puppy, so it keeps the puppy on the same diet as it is used too.
You will be given an alternative to raw food sample.
A diet sheet will be sent to you by email. This will be a diet relevant to your puppy.
More information on diet can be read on our hidden pages, which can only be accessed with a password. Once a deposit has been paid the password is given.
The password changes frequently. It is only available to Silvestre puppy owners only.
A contract of sale is required by law to sell a puppy, it is also required by the Assured breeder scheme. The contract is to protect the breeder/seller and purchaser. With terms included.
We do not sell puppies for breeding. We selectively choose our puppy owners. A breeding endorsement is placed on the Kennel club document, which means we have sold you a pet puppy.
Please note if you show dogs and would like a new blood line, if we know you well then we will not place an endorsement on. But it is for select people only.
Our puppies will go to our veterinary surgeon a few days before they leave for a full health check. He writes a letter for each puppy including their microchip. This letter will be attached to your contract of sale, so you know you have brought a healthy puppy.
If you wish to be placed on the waiting list, we wait until we can confirm pregnancy then we enter into a written agreement with you to place you on the waiting list, plus a fee of £100 which is returned to you if their are not enough puppies or wrong sexes for you. But if you back out from the sale of the puppy the deposit is kept. This is part of your deposit. Once born an extra £400 is taken. By bank transfer.
Only once a deposit has been made is a puppy reserved. The deposit is non refundable if you back out of the sale for what ever reason. But if we can not provide a healthy puppy at 8 weeks, then we will refund your deposit and keep the puppy. Our aim is to only send out healthy puppies.
A visit to see puppies at 5 weeks is arranged by us, this is held in our grooming parlour.
We are not going to let our guard down with regards to Covid 19, and as we are shielding a very vulnerable person we can not let you into our home. We have adequate outside areas for you to meet the dogs, puppies and us.
Our puppies are microchipped. I am a fully qualified micro chipper and therefore can microchip puppies. I use the animal tracker data base as I find this data base the easiest to navigate online for new owners. You also get a free transfer code which gives you 14 days to register the puppy into your name.
A flea and worming chart is included in your folder, and this gives you dates and products used by us. It will also tell you the next flea and worming date for you to treat.
We are not allowed to supply worming treatment or flea treatment with your puppy.
We do not vaccinate puppies as they leave at 8 weeks, and in our opinion are too young to be given vaccines. So long as they have had the mothers colostrum milk they will have immunity for several weeks to come. Please do ask us as we have studied at length vaccines, their reactions, and the ideal time to vaccinate.
Due to the Kennel club who are behind on doing documents, we can not like before promise documentation will be given to you when the pups leaves. Therefore we write in the contract that as soon as documents arrive we will post them to you, but also message you the unique code and KC reg number so you can do it online.
From October 21 if we drop from the Assured breeder scheme you can even choose then to have documents if you wish to show, or no document. A five generation pedigree will always be given. We have found that the majority of our puppy owners do not really want the documents as they never change ownership from breeder to new owner. When I've asked people, they don't really want it.
A full reciept for all monies paid is in the folder, which you will need to keep hold of for dog health insurance. If you loose this receipt it will cost £50 admin fee to replace it only up to 4 years from buying the dog.
If your job requires privacy under data protection please note that we do not give your details to anyone. We have a few high profile figures with dogs from us. We do not boast or advertise the fact on social media. We respect everyones privacy no matter what.
All our puppies are bathed with professional grooming products before leaving. Their nails will be trimmed and ears cleaned. We send out puppies the way we would like to be treated also.
Lifetime advice by whats app is available, and if I think it warrants a phone call I will get straight back in touch with you.
Contact times are 10.30 to 1pm Monday to Friday. If you text other times I will arrange a call back at all our connivence.
A puppy comes with his/her own puppy cushion, which has been sprayed with stress spray. This is hand made and can come apart with the most adventurous chewer. A puppy blanket which has been rubbed on mum comes with the puppy. A snuffle ball, and a small toy.
I have a variety of things you can purchase for your puppy on collection from puppy collars, puppy leads, next stage leads, adult leads, anti pull leads, snuffle mats and now dehydrated natural chews in a box.
I sent regular updates to people who have reserved a puppy. I use whats app for our puppy owners.
I am now concerned at the level of dog theft in the UK, therefore any social media account will no longer have puppy information in. We keep our puppy owners updated regular and do not need social media to communicate.
PAYMENT INFORMATION Deposit: We take a deposit to reserve a puppy. By bank transfer. It is a non refundable deposit, which means if you backed out from the sale of the puppy for what so ever reason the deposit is kept by us. Deposits are not transferable to other litters. So be absolutely sure you want a puppy before you place down a deposit. If buying a puppy involved two people, you must both want the puppy. A deposit is a promise to purchase. If we can not provide a healthy puppy, then we refund your deposit by bank transfer. The reason a deposit was taken years ago in dog breeding was to stop people backing out at the last moment wanting the dog, as to resell an older puppy is more difficult that selling an 8 week old puppy. A receipt is sent to you by email. If your receipt has not arrived, check spam folder. If you have a hotmail account often pdf attachments do not reach hotmail accounts. So text me to send again to a different email address. We are often asked to take payments in stages, we would rather not do this, because we send all the puppies to our vet just a few days before they leave. A full health check is given. We would rather not have the full payment before the health check. From April 2021 we now ask for the final payment to be split. A bank transfer for half, and the other half in cash. In dog breeding cash has always been the way we have all done it. Because cheques bounced and bank transfers can be stopped. Plus we take puppies to vets at the very last moment so we know they are healthy at leaving date, and if you've paid in full we then have to send it back. So we have never been keen to take full payment in advance So we now ask for the bank transfer should reach our account 7 days before pick up. Anything less than 7 days we can not release the puppy.
The price of a puppy can change from litter to litter, so ask the full price before you pay a deposit. We can not tell you what prices will be a year ahead, thats impossible.
We do not charge for older dogs, as we are looking for great homes. Some dogs that come back to us could have issues from bad behaviour that their owner has created. It would be unfair to sell a dog that has any issues. The home is more important than the money in our opinion. If however we have kept puppies to run on. Which is a term used when we are assessing puppies for the show ring or breeding, we may decide at a later stage to sell them. The price will be full puppy price, as the puppy will of been trained. We are aware that since Covid people are selling on older dogs so rescues are becoming the last place people will place a dog they no longer want. This is causing a back log of homes now wanting older dogs who can not afford a puppy. Please go to breed clubs rescues as they are excellent. If we know of an older dog returned to the breeder we will let you know so always worth an email to us.
Here are some questions I am asked frequently.
How long does a female dog carry puppies for? (A) Just 9 weeks.
What age can a puppy leave the breeders home> (A) By law 8 weeks, unless a veterinary surgeon gives permission to leave sooner.
When can you scan a bitch to know if they are pregnant ? (A) Approximately 30 days from the first mating.
How many times is a bitch mated during her season? (A) Usually 2 times.
Can you guarantee how many puppies a bitch will have? (A) No because they can miss puppies when scanning, or puppies can absorb inside the bitch. Its natures way of deleting abnormalities. A scan can only give a breeder a rough guide.
Can you tell the sexes of the puppies at scan? (A) No sadly we can not, as all we see is a round sack, squiggle of an umbilical cord, and a blob. Their are no puppy features to be seen.
If you can not help us with one litter can you help us with another? (A) Circumstances depending we try to help where we can. If however we feel uneasy that we have made a wrong choice in owner then no we will not transfer you. Sadly we get all kinds of responses when someone misses out. Those who are understanding and say we are happy to wait as long as it takes. Others who get abusive as they think they are the most important person in the world.
I want the pick of the litter ? (A) A rubbish term in my opinion as Ive known some dogs which do not have all the attributes at 8 weeks turn into the best one in the litter later on, so its almost an impossible task to have the very best one in the litter. It is all about development, and some dogs are more mature at 8 weeks than others, and thats all people look at. The largest, the heaviest and have no other knowledge. All puppies are born equally, very rarely is one smaller by a long margin. I am amazed that someone who has no knowledge of the breed deems themselves capable of choosing the best one in the litter. This takes years of selection experience and being fully qualified to do so. We reserve the right in every single litter to keep the pick of the litter in our eyes. It doesn't always mean we have chosen correctly as dogs can change drastically.
Why do you choose a puppy for us over letting us choose a puppy? (A) Simply because you do not know what your doing. If you have studied dog behaviour like we have done, then I would probably let you have a say in which puppy. But it takes years to understand dogs as a breed. By us choosing for you we help to place the right energy dog into your home. A highly energetic intelligent minded Vizsla would not be suitable in a family home. A home where you do not have as much time as other homes may have for the dog. We take everyone on merit and talk to each other, to find the best suitable dog in the litter for you.
Do you ever turn people away ? (A) Yes we do all the time. The reason is we want people to be able to cope with the dog. It is pointless taking on an energetic breed if you have no time for training, no time for exercise.
Hungarian Vizsla puppies leave our home at 8 weeks of age.
The Vizsla comes in one colour only which is Russet Gold. They may have white on the chest and paws. You can not totally breed white out. Any white on the paws totally vanishes by 1 year. Just remember when your dog is elderly its face will turn white, and its legs and paws will turn white due to old age. So if you are against having any white on a coat do not buy a Vizsla.
Pug puppies leave our home between 9 and 10 weeks of age. We do not have many pug puppies during the year.
The Pug puppy comes in colours Fawn, Black, Apricot, Silver. We only breed Fawn.
French bulldog puppies leave our home at 9 weeks of age. We do not have French bulldog puppies very often.
The French bulldog comes in the colour fawn which has various shades with in the classification from pale fawn through to red, you have brindle and pied. See my French bulldog info for a link on colours to the French bulldog club.
You will have a diet sheet printed by me to give you information to your puppy. But more diet info is in our hidden pages online for you to view.
The dogs we own we health test before breeding. Each breed has a different requirement. To see what health test our dogs have had, then click on the page relevant to mum or dad and their is a list on the page.
We do not send you copies by email or by post of the health tests of each parent. Because at the moment identity theft has increased and not only does it open us up to theft of our own dogs as our address is on the certificate, but also the dogs identifiable registration numbers, microchips etc. So when you visit us to see the puppy or collect the puppy due to covid rules, we have a large folder on the counter, and you can browse this and see each health test is relevant to the mum and dad.
We advise a years insurance is taken out the date you take your puppy home. Yes their are free puppy insurances you can take up online, but if you go and claim for any little thing during the time you could find you will not get full insurance in the future. Take highest cover possible out. Which I believe at the current time is 15k cover.
We will not cross breed our dogs for you. Yes I get emails asking, and NO ITS NOT HAPPENING. We have nothing against cross breeding, but its just not for us.
With our French bulldogs and Pugs we will only breed from recognised colour parents.
We will never bred from a dog that is unhealthy. All parents are health tested extensively.
Health tests are tools for breeders to use, and we find that many pet owners do not have the first clue what they are looking at. We breed to improve the future of our dogs every time we breed. We do not just breed with out lots of thought behind breeding. Remember if we breed to keep a puppy we are not going to keep something which can pass down the generations. We are choosing wisely as we can do with in the guidance.
Our puppies are not altered cosmetically in any way. They have dew claws and a tail. Again we know lots of breeders who dock and remove dew claws and this is absolutely fine. We like to keep tails as we wish to show in Europe and their is a total ban now in many countries. The only docked dog I own is my bracco.
Did you know that Pugs and French bulldogs have been banned from breeding and registering in Holland. This is the one reason we are doing the extensive health testing, as we do not want the UK to follow the same pattern.
The price of dogs has risen during the last two years. This is because costs are increasing, and licenses have to be paid for and all that goes with it. We are still under the prices seen on big sales websites. I can not see us increasing any more. We had to make a decision this year when we found out people are buying dogs cheap to then sell on. Also people using our own stud dogs were charging far more than we were. It was like us undervaluing our own dogs which is silly. We do so much for our puppies which is far and beyond what some other breeders do, and our time is not charged for when we take into account pups. As its a 24/7 job having animals and never goes away. Even Christmas day your out exercising dogs as normal.
I do not give advice through social media, so not instagram or facebook. If you have a question either text me and I will call you back if its important. If it is not important i will text you at my leisure. Thats if I see it.
Everyone loves photos of their puppies and I send a lot. But don't abuse my generosity either because if you ask me for another photo the chances are I will send non. I cant be told what to do just for your sake.
If you wish to show your dog at Kennel club open or championship shows let me know before I choose puppies.
Showing a dog is not as easy as you think as it takes a lot of training.
If you want a working dog let me know because when I assess the puppies I can see who has a natural aptitude for finding game/birds. Who is a natural retriever and who isn't.
From the above comments you may guess we choose for you. I do not look at the puppies until 6-7 weeks of age. Their is no real behaviour showing until 7 weeks. We try to fit the right dog for the job in hand.
I am asked frequently if I will home board your dog whilst your on holiday. Im sorry but I do not have a home boarding license so can not do this. When the law changed on breeding it also brought in a law with home boarding.
Did you know their is a law called the 5 freedoms of animal welfare. This applies to every dog owner in the UK, you agree to board and look after your puppy, to give it veterinary care if it requires, feed it and water. If you do not keep to the 5 freedoms you can be fined under animal welfare act.
