WHAT COMES WITH YOUR PUPPY?
We will provide your puppy with approximately 7 days of puppy food. 80/10/10 raw diet. Or a voucher for 7 days of free food.
A diet sheet will be sent to you by email along side your reciept for puppy deposit.
We have hidden pages on this website which can be accessed only with a password. This password changes each litter, therefore if you wish to access it after six months, just whats app me for the new password. This is to stop hackers, and passwords being passed on.
On the hidden pages you have files which contain so much. We have everything on here you need to raise your puppy well.
A contract of sale is required by law to sell a puppy, and your signature is required to state that you understand the terms with in.
A breeding endorsement is placed on the Kennel club document. A signed statement by you is required for the Kennel club that you are aware of the endorsement before sale.
Puppies have a 5 generation pedigree. In fact being pedigree dogs we their is history for generations but only a 5 generation pedigree is required.
We do not sell puppies for breeding. We selectively choose our puppy owners. If you already show dogs and we know you, and you wish to have a new blood line, then we will sell a puppy with out an endorsement on. But we would ask you to do the relevant health tests.
A couple of days before leaving the puppies go to our veterinary surgeon for a health check. He will write a letter for each and every puppy, and this accompany's your puppy in its folder. Keep this safe as you may be requested to produce it for insurance purposes. Take a copy and only send copies to insurance companies in case they loose it.
Our waiting lists now are different to how we have done them years previously. If you wish to be added then we require £100 of the deposit. Then a further £400 once puppies have been born, bringing deposit to £500. This £100 is taken to stop people waiting list jumping. If you do let us down then the deposit is kept by us. If we can not help with the right sex or didnt have the numbers then the amount is refunded by bank transfer. An written agreement is sent to you for both parties to sign and keep.
Final payments are made at the end once you collect your puppy.
A receipt for full monies paid is in your folder for insurance purposes keep it.
Deposits are non refundable if you back out from the sale of the puppy. If however we can not provide a healthy puppy at 8 weeks of age then we will refund the deposit amount. Our aim is to send out healthy puppies.
Visits to meet puppies, mum are done at 5 weeks of age. Due to Covid this is not held in our home, but in the grooming parlour. We do not enforce masks, but if you wish to wear one that is great.
Many times we own both parents and even other family members which we are proud to show you. Please note not all mothers are forth coming as they are weary of strangers taking their children. Look at my hidden pages for information on how to approach strange dogs.
I am fully qualified to microchip puppies. I use the animal tracker database as I find this easy to navigate and you get a free transfer.
A flea and worming chart is included in your folder and this gives you dates and products used by us. We are not allowed to supply worming or flea treatment to you, only a qualified veterinary surgeon can do so.
We do not vaccinate puppies. We believe that if vaccines are given to early this increases risk of auto immune diseases, and post vaccine inflammation in the brain. Please research Dr Ronald Schultz and Dr Karen Becker on the correct protocols of vaccines on U Tube. Or dogs naturally magazine online. As longs as mums have fed their puppies colostrum milk we are satisfied the puppy has natural immunity.
Due to internal issues with in the Kennel club, documents are not forth coming before collection of puppies. We have had one litter which took months for them to send documents, and the other litter they were sent with in a week. Their does appear to be no reason as to why sometimes they are quicker than others. All we can do is show you a reciept of monies paid to the kennel club and hope they arrive.
We respect everyones privacy who buys a puppy, and we can not tell you the siblings owners address and telephone numbers. We also have had high profile public figures buy dogs off us. Again you can rest assured your information will always be private. We also do not brag on social media of these sales.
All puppies are bathed with professional grooming products before leaving. Their nails will be trimmed and ears cleaned. We send out puppies just the way we would hope we would like to be treated too, and I can tell you Ive brought some dogs over my time which stank.
Lifetime advice by Whats app is preferred. If it warrants a call I will get straight back to you.
We have a facebook group which is closed, and only Silvestre owners may join it.
A puppy comes with: Cushion, Blanket, Toy, Snuffle ball, food.
I have a small online business of dog treats which you can purchase either on visit or collection. Also dog collars, leads etc.
I send regular updates to everyone who has reserved a puppy from us. I do have concerns over social media and thefts therefore you will not see many pictures go on line of puppies for sale.
PAYMENT INFORMATION Deposit:
We take a deposit to reserve a puppy by bank transfer. Deposits are non refundable, which means if you backed out from the sale of the puppy for what so ever reason, the deposit is kept by us.
Deposits are not transferable between other litters.
Be absolutely sure you want this puppy before placing a deposit.
Make sure everyone in the family is happy to have the puppy.
Puppies leave at exactly 8 weeks of age, do not place a deposit down if you think you will pick up much later. Make sure the date and time to collect is okay.
We aim to send out healthy puppy's. To do this we have a full health check done on your puppy.
Ask for the price when booking the puppy to make sure its not gone up alittle.
We get asked all the time if someone can do a bank transfer on the day for final payment. The answer is definitely NOT! Their is no guarantee that you will get home, call the bank and stop transaction. There fore final payment is cash only. You are however welcome to split payment into two, and do a bank transfer at the 5 week visit, then final payment cash. But it has to be done at 5 weeks. We would refund all money paid if the puppy was sick or died by bank transfer. Remember we aim to sell healthy dogs.
If we have an older dog to re-home, we do not charge for it for ages over 3 years of age. If we have a dog we have run on ourselves and its not made a show dog, then we will charge full price up to 3 years of age.
You've probably all heard the saying adopt not shop. We are in agreement that their are some wonderful rescue centres in the UK with dogs needing homes. Yes they are not all easy re-homes and have issues which some can not cope with. But if you are interested then get in touch by email and I will pass the relevant rescue details to you. Please remember that their is a current trade for rescue dogs brought into the UK on purpose for sale. We do not support this trade.
Here are some questions I am asked frequently.
How long does a female dog carry puppies for? (A) Just 9 weeks.
What age can a puppy leave the breeders home> (A) By law 8 weeks, unless a veterinary surgeon gives permission to leave sooner.
When can you scan a bitch to know if they are pregnant ? (A) Approximately 30 days from the first mating.
How many times is a bitch mated during her season? (A) Usually 2 times.
Can you guarantee how many puppies a bitch will have? (A) No because they can miss puppies when scanning, or puppies can absorb inside the bitch. Its natures way of deleting abnormalities. A scan can only give a breeder a rough guide.
Can you tell the sexes of the puppies at scan? (A) No sadly we can not, as all we see is a round sack, squiggle of an umbilical cord, and a blob. Their are no puppy features to be seen.
If you can not help us with one litter can you help us with another? (A) Circumstances depending we try to help where we can. If however we feel uneasy that we have made a wrong choice in owner then no we will not transfer you. Sadly we get all kinds of responses when someone misses out. Those who are understanding and say we are happy to wait as long as it takes. Others who get abusive.
Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated or hate.
I want the pick of the litter ? (A) A rubbish term in my opinion as Ive known some dogs which do not have all the attributes at 8 weeks turn into the best one in the litter later on, so its almost an impossible task to have the very best one in the litter. It is all about development, and some dogs are more mature at 8 weeks than others, and thats all people look at. The largest, the heaviest and have no other knowledge. All puppies are born equally, very rarely is one smaller by a long margin. I am amazed that someone who has no knowledge of the breed deems themselves capable of choosing the best one in the litter. This takes years of selection experience and being fully qualified to do so. We reserve the right in every single litter to keep the pick of the litter in our eyes. It doesn't always mean we have chosen correctly as dogs can change drastically. If you still wish to own the best one in the litter assessed by us, then you can pay for it extra.
Why do you choose a puppy for us over letting us choose a puppy? (A) Simply because you do not know what your doing. If you have studied dog behaviour like we have done, then I would probably let you have a say in which puppy. But it takes years to understand dogs as a breed. By us choosing for you we help to place the right energy dog into your home. A highly energetic intelligent minded Vizsla would not be suitable in a family home. A home where you do not have as much time as other homes may have for the dog. We take everyone on merit and talk to each other, to find the best suitable dog in the litter for you.
Do you ever turn people away ? (A) Yes we do all the time. The reason is we want people to be able to cope with the dog. It is pointless taking on an energetic breed if you have no time for training, no time for exercise.
What colour is the Vizsla ? (A) Russet Gold (No other colour)
Are their any coat changes during the ageing process ? (A) Yes, the Vizsla gets a white face. White legs.
I do not wish to see white on my puppy?(A) Well good luck on that one, as nearly every Vizsla blood line white can just appear. The white however is not usually a bold bright white, more of a russet gold coming through, and its hard to notice.
Can champions have white?(A) Absolutely yes.
Can you send me copies of the parents health certificates ? (A) Am I a monkeys uncle? No...We do not send personal details out to perfect strangers. You are welcome to view all certificates when you visit, but I do not send a single test to anyone with our dogs microchip number on, our address to perfect strangers. I am not going to fuel puppy farmers fake documents.
is my puppy insured ? (A) No but you can activate a free insurance yourself if you wish, however I would advise taking up the years insurance from day one of collection. This is because any accident and any claim will bugger up your no claims in the future or claiming for this health problem again. It is far wiser to pay in full the years insurance on collection as then they can not get out of paying for anything.
How much cover should I take out ? (A) 15k
Can you cross your Vizsla to a Weimaraner for me as I want a cross breed ? (A) No.
Can you guarantee that our dog will never be ill during its lifetime ? (A) No of course I can not. Its a living breathing animal, which will be determined by external influences.
I am not sure if I want a dog, but If I pay for one then change my mind in the first week, will you have it back ? (A) Yes we would take the puppy back, but you will not be refunded a single penny. We are not a shop.
Will you dock the puppies tail please ? (A) No sadly we can not do this.
Will you remove dew claws on the puppy please? (A) No we do not do this. We believe your dog was born with all the adequate body parts with out removal.
Why have prices of puppies gone up? (A) Oh a long list of reasons. Licenses cost money, paperwork to complete licenses is time consuming, veterinary fees have gone up, health testing, and more healthy testing required, food has gone up, every product brought has gone up. Therefore prices had to go up as we can not keep loosing money to produce a puppy.
Can you give advice over social media Instagram account ? (A) No this is not what our instagram account is for. Join our facebook group instead, or better still whats app me.
I want to show my dog, can you provide me with a show dog? (A) We can provide you with the potential in a puppy to become a show dog, but we can not guarantee it will become one as this is down to your training.
I want a working dog, can you provide me with one? (A) We can assess puppies working potential and let you have the puppy which shows natural aptitude for it.
Will you board my dog whilst I go on holiday? (A) No I can not do this because I do not hold a boarding license.
Have you heard of the 5 freedoms of animal welfare ? Look them up.
Have you read the countryside code ? If not look them up.
Do I have to train my dog? (A) Absolutely yes if you wish to own a well behaved dog.
