PLEASE NOTE:
We do not vaccinate young puppies. When puppies are born they drink from mum colostrum milk and although its called milk it is more like white blood. This milk contains antibodies which protects the newborn baby. But the antibodies do not just protect newborns, this protection stays with the puppy for several weeks. In fact it does not wean off by 8 weeks, it is still protecting your puppy for weeks to come. It is not only pointless vaccinating them if they already have antibodies, it can be detrimental in young babies. Go to U Tube Dr Ronald Schultz and Dr Karen Becker and watch some of their videos.
It is up to you when you vaccinate but our advice use to wait until your puppy is not stressed from the house move. Vaccinating a stressed animal also causes complications to their health. The earliest we would suggest is 12 weeks for the first vaccine and 14 weeks for the second and in training just before 16 weeks.

PAYMENT INFORMATION
Deposit:
Deposit:
- We take a deposit to reserve a puppy by bank transfer. Deposits are non refundable, which means if you backed out from the sale of the puppy for what so ever reason, the deposit is kept by us.
- Deposits are not transferable between other litters. Unless we have agreed this prior to placing deposit.
- Be absolutely sure you want this puppy before placing a deposit.
- Make sure everyone in the family is happy to have the puppy.
- Puppies leave at exactly 8 weeks of age, do not place a deposit down if you think you will pick up much later. Make sure the date and time to collect is okay.
- We aim to send out healthy puppy's. To do this we have a full health check done on your puppy.
- Ask for the price when booking the puppy to make sure its not gone up alittle.
- We do not back out from the sale of the puppy unless we have a good reason which is health of the puppy. We will NOT send out any puppy that has not developed correctly.
- We get asked all the time if someone can do a bank transfer on the day for final payment. The answer is definitely NOT! There is no guarantee that you will get home, call the bank and stop transaction. Their fore final payment is cash only. I recently spoke to my bank at Lloyds and they admitted a transfer can be stopped. I asked this after a family member sold a horse by bank transfer and the owners got down the road and cancelled it. I can not afford to give puppies away for free, so we have to follow exact terms.
- You are however welcome to split payment into two, and do a bank transfer at the 5 week visit, then final payment cash. But it has to be done at 5 weeks. We would refund all money paid if the puppy was sick or died by bank transfer. Remember we aim to sell healthy dogs.
- If we have an older dog to re-home, we do not charge for it for ages over 3 years of age. If we have a dog we have run on ourselves and its not made a show dog, then we will charge full price up to 3 years of age.
- You've probably all heard the saying adopt not shop. We are in agreement that their are some wonderful rescue centres in the UK with dogs needing homes. Yes they are not all easy re-homes and have issues which some can not cope with. But if you are interested then get in touch by email and I will pass the relevant rescue details to you. Please remember that their is a current trade for rescue dogs brought into the UK on purpose for sale. We do not support this trade. We only recommend breed club rescues. We support Bracco italiano society rescue, Pug dog welfare, French bulldog welfare, Hungarian Vizsla club welfare.
- If you are having an older dog from us and we have not charged we always ask you donate some money to a breed club rescue. They are not like the big rescue centres who earn all their money from donations. It's people in the breed who are doing voluntary work to get the dogs a home.
Here are some questions I am asked frequently.
- How long does a female dog carry puppies for? (A) Just 9 weeks.
- What age can a puppy leave the breeders home> (A) By law 8 weeks, unless a veterinary surgeon gives permission to leave sooner.
- When can you scan a bitch to know if they are pregnant ? (A) Approximately 30 days from the first mating.
- How many times is a bitch mated during her season? (A) Usually 2 times.
- Can you guarantee how many puppies a bitch will have? (A) No because they can miss puppies when scanning, or puppies can absorb inside the bitch. Its natures way of deleting abnormalities. A scan can only give a breeder a rough guide.
- Can you tell the sexes of the puppies at scan? (A) No sadly we can not, as all we see is a round sack, squiggle of an umbilical cord, and a blob. Their are no puppy features to be seen.
- Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated or hate. Any online hatred, we will block you. We will also notify the police.
- I want the pick of the litter ? (A) A rubbish term in my opinion as Ive known some dogs which do not have all the attributes at 8 weeks turn into the best one in the litter later on, so its almost an impossible task to have the very best one in the litter. It is all about development, and some dogs are more mature at 8 weeks than others, and thats all people look at. Some people look at size and think they are the healthiest dog. Not always the case. All puppies are born equally, very rarely is one smaller by a long margin. I am amazed that someone who has no knowledge of the breed deems themselves capable of choosing the best one in the litter. This takes years of selection experience and being fully qualified to do so. We reserve the right in every single litter to keep the pick of the litter in our eyes. It doesn't always mean we have chosen correctly as dogs can change drastically. If you still wish to own the best one in the litter assessed by us, then you can pay for it extra.
- Why do you choose a puppy for us over letting us choose a puppy? (A) Simply because you do not know what you're doing. If you have studied dog behaviour like we have done, then I would probably let you have a say in which puppy. I can name but a handful of people who ive let choose ,because they are professionals. But it takes years to understand dogs as a breed. By us choosing for you we help to place the right energy dog into your home. A highly energetic intelligent minded Vizsla would not be suitable in a family home. A home where you do not have as much time as other homes may have for the dog. We take everyone on merit and talk to each other, to find the best suitable dog in the litter for you.
- Do you ever turn people away ? (A) Yes we do all the time. The reason is we want people to be able to cope with the dog. It is pointless taking on an energetic breed if you have no time for training, no time for exercise.
- What colour is the Vizsla ? (A) Russet Gold (No other colour)
- What Colour is a Bracco ? (A) Chestnut roan, Chestnut and white, Orange roan, Orange and white. Other colours are more rarely seen like Solid all over colour chestnut or orange. Tri colour is not desirable. But makes of course a wonderful pet. We colour test for trial colour and our dogs do not carry it.
- Are their any coat changes during the ageing process ? (A) Yes, the Vizsla gets a white face. White legs. (A) Bracco gets whiter faces.
- I do not wish to see white on my puppy?(A) Well good luck on that one, as nearly every Vizsla blood line white can just appear. The white however is not usually a bold bright white, more of a russet gold coming through, and its hard to notice. Also when your dog hits 7 most likely white hairs will start to appear on legs and face. This is old age.
- Can champions have white?(A) Absolutely yes. But just not a huge chest of it.
- Can you send me copies of the parents health certificates ? (A) Am I a monkeys uncle? No...We do not send personal details out to perfect strangers. You are welcome to view all certificates when you visit, but I do not send a single test to anyone with our dogs microchip number on, our address to perfect strangers. I am not going to fuel puppy farmers fake documents. I am endeavouring to add some health tests to each parents page with personal details blacked out.
- Is my puppy insured ? (A) When you register your puppy with Animal tracker there is an option to take up free insurance. It is pet plan 4 weeks free. Now although this is available to you, I would suggest you take up a years insurance on the day you take the puppy home. Like this your dog will have full insurance rather than giving the insurance company to wiggle out of insurance once the 4 weeks it up. With several free insurances you can not even claim until 14 days later. This is because a breeder in theory should send out a healthy puppy. If only this was the case but sadly there are a lot of unscrupulous breeders who will not health test their puppies before sale. This is why our vet check is the most valuable piece of paper you can own. A guarantee its been checked and healthy.
- How much cover should I take out ? (A) 15k lifetime insurance.
- Can you cross your Vizsla to a Weimaraner for me as I want a cross breed ? (A) No.
- Can you guarantee that our dog will never be ill during its lifetime ? (A) No of course I can not. Its a living breathing animal, which will be determined by external influences.
- I am not sure if I want a dog, but If I pay for one then change my mind in the first week ive taken it home, will you have it back ? (A) Yes we would take the puppy back, but you will not be refunded a single penny. We are not a shop.
- Will you dock the puppies tail please ? (A) No sadly we can not do this. There is no amount of begging from you that would make me break the law on dogs. I am as blunt as I can be. We do everything correctly in everything we do. That much I can promise you. If you want to break the law on animals go to another breeder.
- But my dog may damage its tail during its lifetime so surely its better to do when its a baby? Your dog could also cut its ear during its life time, or it could hurt its leg. Do you want me to chop those pieces off too ? Of course NOT. So dont ask as I wont break the law.
- Will you remove dew claws on the puppy please? (A) No we do not do this. We believe your dog was born with all the adequate body parts with out removal.
- Why have prices of puppies gone up? (A) Oh a long list of reasons. Licenses cost money, paperwork to complete licenses is time consuming, veterinary fees have gone up, health testing, and more healthy testing required, food has gone up, every product brought has gone up. Therefore prices had to go up as we can not keep loosing money to produce a puppy. Yes you can buy cheap Vizsla at the moment online, from pet owners who have no license, not doing a tax return and have no experience. You can go to these people but you're fuelling an illegal trade of dogs. Please Please dont do it. We are trying our hardest to be a voice for well bred, healthy dogs. If you fuel these people they will do it again and again. It's unfair to licensed breeders, and it's unfair to the dogs. As some have awful welfare behind closed doors.
- Can you give advice over social media Instagram account ? (A) No this is not what our instagram account is for. Join our facebook group instead, or better still whats app me.
- I want to show my dog, can you provide me with a show dog? (A) We can provide you with the potential in a puppy to become a show dog, but we can not guarantee it will become one as this is down to your training.
- I want a working dog, can you provide me with one? (A) We can assess puppies working potential and let you have the puppy which shows natural aptitude for it.
- Will you board my dog whilst I go on holiday? (A) No I can not do this because I do not hold a boarding license.
- Have you heard of the 5 freedoms of animal welfare ? Look them up.
- Have you read the countryside code ? If not look them up.
- Do I have to train my dog? (A) Absolutely yes if you wish to own a well behaved dog.
- We will put a collar and lead on your puppy when it is 6 weeks of age and start the dog on basic lead training. You must build on this. We also provide our puppies with a lot of stimulation in puzzle toys, snuffle mats, tunnels, paddling pools and ball pits. We are with our puppies 24/7 until they have left for new homes.
