I would like to put my name down for an older dog?
****NEW****
I am looking for a nice home for a female Pug aged 4 1/2. Fawn in colour with black mask. But I am looking for a specific home.
This dog would suit a retired lady or elderly lady/gentleman who is non active, and does not expect the dog to walk miles every day. But fit enough to care for the dogs requirements. A medium sized garden for her to run around in. She has been vaccinated yearly, but her last vaccine caused bruising on her neck. She would make the ideal companion.
She is micro chipped. No older dogs go with papers. She can not be sold on and this is in a contract that we will do with you. Ideally someone in Norfolk who will keep us updated on her progress. She is friendly, loving and is also crate trained.
We are very conscious of traders trying to get hold of dogs, so we will ask you questions. This girl is not spayed as yet. But as the summer comes along we will be spaying her. We are in no hurry to find her a home, but if the right home comes along then I will talk to you at length. I will also require photographs of your garden and family.

Their has become a niche of people who can not afford the prices of a puppy and then we have lots of people who do not want a puppy. They prefer a dog that they do not have to house train. Some people like taking on much older dogs who no-one else wants. I have decided from 2021 to help as many dogs as I can do. If I hear a breeder who is a friend who I know is legitamite is looking for a home for their dog they can email me or message me through social media, and if anyone is looking for a dog I will pass on their details. Its all about "let us find homes for any dog"! All information given to me will be respected under data protection, as I want to help find dogs a home. The older I have got if I could afford to set up a rescue I would of done.
Sometimes we have older dogs that come back to us through no fault of their own. These dogs are easily placed. But sometimes we get dogs come back (NOT OFTEN) which are untrained, and a royal pain in the bum. We will train the dog before it is replaced in someones home. Some dogs need experienced owners, ones who will continue with training. Then some need constant behavioural help. Others are easy peasy and no issues what so ever. Then we have breeders who have a dog they want to find a home thats been a previous breeding dog, and with the new numbers requirements which is part of the license to keep a puppy for future breeding they need to re-home their breeding dog or for what ever reason. No judgements from us on what anyone decides to do. I will not however help anyone if the dog has been abused as the dog needs rehabilitation first. These dogs in fact should remain with the breeder until sound enough to then go into a new home.
We get all types of people looking for homes, and we are aware some of you can not afford a pedigree dog but can give it all the love in the world, and possibly afford insurance for the dog. If we can help people have a dog that couldn't afford one it is a good thing surely ?
Here are some questions you can answer and send over.
Please note we do not have a trail of dogs coming through our hands thank goodness. But the occasional one, and as I said above if we can help another breeder we will do.

- Are you looking for a small breed like a Pug or a larger breed like the Vizsla?
- Do you have children? If yes how old are they and have they lived with a dog before? What are they like with dogs ie gentle, or boisterous?
- Do you have other dogs? If yes are they happy dogs and social or do they not get along with other dogs they meet?
- Are you prepared to go to a training group if you take on a dog thats younger and still have issues with behaviour ?
- Do you live in a home, flat or other?
- Are you at home?
- What age are you?
- If you are 7o+ if anything was to happen to you, is their a back up plan with family who would take the dog?
- What are you looking for in an older dog?
- Are you active or do you want a dog just to potter around the garden with you? All breeds and all ages are different.
- Have you tried rescues for a dog? Did they turn you away for any reason?
