Roo
Deru or as we call her Roo came to us this year for a future new bloodline for us, but she has a special blood line. Because she goes back to some of the oldest Hungarian Bloodlines. She never met the hunting criteria for Hungary to be a breeding dog. She is gentle, quiet, calm, and an old soul. She lived on a farm in Hungary. The breeder who is extremely knowledgeable about the breed and wanting to continue excellent blood lines, let one puppy go to Portugal, one to us in England, he kept two and the other two went to pet homes. He did not want this bloodline in the wrong hands.
When she is old enough she will have all the health tests, but this is a long way off. yet. She was not bought as a show dog, she was bought to continue a line of dog which is historical.
Was I looking for another dog? The answer is no. But I appreciate new bloodlines. I appreciate his dogs and how they look. Good breeders help each other because it continues bloodlines into the future.
I saw on Facebook these three sisters in the fields standing, and the head shape is what first attracted me. When I looked all I could see was a young Roux who we owned years ago. This girl has the most amazing darker eye colour.
I first of all private messaged the breeder to say what beautiful puppies he had, and he told me they are available. He told me the history of how he got hold of the blood line. An elderly couple had dogs from one of the oldest Hungarian lines, many thought was lost. He offered me. puppy and I thought this is an excellent opportunity for our breeding team to have something new. So now we wait for time to see how she turns out.
We have started with gentle socialisation skills. Because she only knew a farm life. At the time of writing we are in the middle of this heat wave. We can not go out with her yet as it's too hot. But then gentle introductions to the rivers, towns, training. Who knows you could see her in a show at some point, but we have no expectations for this, because she is now 7 months and she has never been shown.
As she spends more time with us I am sure I will write a description on her characteristics. At the moment I can say she is friendly, kind, loving and gentle. She had her first zooming session last evening. She came to me as we had a language barrier.
She has come on so quickly than I expected, so I have higher hopes. Her soul has lived before. She absolutely loves me, and connected instantly. We have a special bond straight away.
She may well be the mother of generations to come from generations past. Roo is a special girl and one we hope will bring good genetics to the UK.
Photos will come when I have taken them. We wait for paper work to come from the Hungarian Kennel club. When it does and ive registered her with the UK kennel club then I will announce her bloodlines. For now we patiently wait.
