I thought it was about time I updated Sassy’s info now she is all grown up. Sassy is a very easy dog to own, super chilled out and extremely in tune with us. She is a joy to have. Sassy reminds us every day of her grandmother Scarlett who was our foundation bitch. When sassy was a puppy she was easy as she wanted to please us, I think she was much easier in fact than her mother Ginga. She used to play cat and mouse with balls or objects in the garden and she sailed through puppy hood. Sassy was well socialised as a puppy, and in fact I can remember one day we put her in a ruck sack and went to Hunstanton and she spent the day watching from her rucksack, slept in her rucksack. Once Sassy was old enough to have health tests done we had her hip scored, elbows scored, Glaucoma tested, plus 2 DNA tests done. She passed of course. As most of you like to ask how did I choose her name ? I had been followed a breeder who called their bitch sassy, and I thought wow, if ever I have another girl I must use this name as its just a brilliant name. When it come to choosing her pedigree name I had been thinking of names and Envy just seemed right. Sassy has enjoyed a holiday in Cornwall with us when she was younger, so she could continue social skills in a chilled out environment. She has spent many hours with me in the local woodlands enjoying life to the full. I showed sassy a few times and she qualified for Crufts 2019. But then we decided to give her a year out. But then after her first litter just when we thought we may take her to another show Covid 19 hit us. 2020 was an. Unusual year for all of us. In 2021 she had an accident and damaged the end of her tail. Shall we say she is the happiest of souls and that happy tail never stops. She completely broke the end off. As per vets instructions we put a cover over the end, and we are going to see how it heals. But their is a high chance spring time she may well have her tail docked. Sassy will have a 3rd in litter in 2022, I know it seems a long way off. We get enquires now so far in advance, and is always hard to say which dog will be which year, but we hope to mate Sassy this time to Indie. Tango is getting older now, and his stud days with us will be limited in the future. Letting the younger boy have his turn. Sassy is a total sweetheart of a dog, and she is just great. She is a loyal dog, loves her immediate family so much. I don’t think anyone would get in the house with out her letting us know. We have Maisie who is Sassy’s daughter from her first litter. Maisie is nothing like Sassy in mannerisms or looks. I would like to keep another pup from Sassy which I may do in 2022, but we will see as its not always possible.
Chill is a show champion and has his stud book number. Ginga won her stud book number at Paignton Champ show.
