Yennefer's pet name came from the Netflix TV show the Witcher. Yennefer of Vengerberg was a sage and a main character. We call her Yenna for short but she comes to either. After owning a busy Vizsla for years and being used to their active nature Yennefer was a breath of fresh air. She is very chilled out and will sit in my yard all day long. But the moment we say walk time she springs into action. She is such a good girl. VERY obedient with excellent recall. This breed is noble and Yennefer is this to a T. She can look very snobby with her nose in air. We had long admired the breed but never thought of adding one to Silvestre team. Yennefer is intelligent and knows what she wants. She sleeps at night in the house, but come morning she wants to be outside. You can not drag her inside as she loves being in the yard so much. We are about to build her a shelter because she is not keen on rain but doesn't want to come in either. So we will build Yennefer her own pad. She loves cuddles and loves the finer things in life too. She knows when its winter and then hates being outside and wants in and likes to get in front of the fireplace.
I have been asked why I have not shown her. I brought her to show and it doesn't always work. She had a skin infection as a puppy and it left scaring and we can not show her because. of it. But she is an excellent brood bitch. Fabulous mother and has had some awesome puppies. I look forward to seeing two in the ring this year. I am asked if I will breed her again and the answer is yes we will as they were just great. All our girls have to go 12 months between litters and a season in-between. This rests the mum and she has now had her season, so the next time we will breed from her.
Yennefer is trained to pick up birds. Joshua trained her and she's a fabulous picking up dog.
