BRACCO ITALIANO
The first time I saw a Bracco I believe was at The East Anglian Gundog society many years ago. I did not pay too much attention to them back then as we had Weimaraners. I just saw the odd one and thought what a super dog they looked, but gave it no more thought. When I showed my Vizsla Tango at Paignton Championship show he won the CC and Best of Breed. I was waiting for the group to start and I sat with a friend at the table having a cup of tea, and I bumped into for the first time Emma Towns of Braccorians. When it was time for the group, I was watching all the breeds go around the ring and stood. Their was this stunning Bracco. It was at that point my interest peaked. We then were showing abroad and I started to see Bracco more and more as they were in the class before us. I thought, I really like these dogs. Darryl in particular was keen to get one. But where to go? Of course it had to be Emma as her dogs in type just stood out to me. So I saw by chance a puppy that had been booked by someone else and then she got let down. I knew this puppy was for us. Yennefer joined team Silvestre. A year later we decided we wanted a dog with a tail as Yennefer was docked and the shows in Europe got stricter on docking view points and we always wanted to show one at Crufts. I contacted a few breeders in the UK that were not that helpful. But then I remembered Bence Kantor in Hungary. I was following his breeding and his showing on Facebook and again a breeder with dogs that stood out to me. He also got let down on a puppy, and advertised it. He posted it on Facebook and. I knew that dog was mine even before I had said to him anything about the puppy. I messaged him and said would he mind letting the puppy come to the UK. The answer was yes. Geralt came into our lives late one night as he came by courier, and he came in the front door and knew this was home. He fitted in like he had lived here before. He's a big character and you will see a lot of him on instagram as he's a dog which I never put up and he can go where he wants. So he's always their for a camera opportunity. We were blown away by this dogs movement. I saw the video in Budapest and knew the dogs movement is what sold him to us. This movement of covering the ground effortlessly and with power blew me away then and it blows me away now. He is one cracking dog. He now has a huge following in the UK of people who love to see what he is doing. We mated Yennefer and she had puppies in December time of 2021. We didn't use Geralt though as he's too young in our opinion. We decided to go with Handsome hank on a recommendation, also he was in type a dog I loved. This litter produced chestnut roans, and orange and white, plus orange roans. We kept Vespa who you can see if you click the button below. Another puppy from this litter belongs to our son and two males have gone to homes which will show them. I am very interested to see how they ge ton.
