SILVESTRE RAVEN - Maggie
Welcome to Maggie's Page
Maggie is an Orange and White Female Bracco Italiano that we kept from Silvestre Destiny is a Beast and You can watch me win at Silvestre. Maggie reminded me so much of her fathers construction but has the personality from her mum which is outgoing and happy go lucky. I will admit I was not keeping her, and I had said if the right home comes along I would find her a home, but the more Ive lived with her, the more I have accepted she is part of team Silvestre. In fact she could be my last Bracco until older ones pass now but thats several years done the track I hope. Ive only ever intended one litter of Bracco in a year as it's finding the right homes with a breed that not everyone understands.
Maggie is super impressive on the move, her back end movement just is awesome and she propels herself with drive from those rear quarters, Quite stunning and already others have noticed on such a young puppy.
Maggie has spent two weeks in Cornwall with us which really cemented how I felt about her as she's as good as gold.
I probably wont update her page all that often until she is grown up more. But I have lots of puppy photos to share with you. Maggie is the future of Team Silvestre Bracco team and I hope we can campaign her in the UK and in Europe in 2025.
Maggie is part of our experiment on natural immunity with out first puppy vaccines, and I shall be titre testing her in a few weeks time. To see what level of antibodies she has. I have studied so much now and realising that mothers immunity is key and if you vaccinate during the time the puppy has immunity from mum, not only do you give your puppy no protection as vaccine can not do anything, but it can also leave your puppy with out protection months down the line. So it's more about either Key vaccines, or allowing the dog to gain its natural immunity. This will be shown in a Titre test. I shall have to do Lepto 2 vaccine but this can be done at a time when she has grown and less chances of reactions which can occur in youngsters. The Bracco breed are known for sensitivities to certain drugs. They are a breed also which can have kidney health problems, so the bigger chances we give this breed the better.
There is no point emailing me to see if Maggie will have puppies as she is a puppy herself. We look at 2027! For Maggie so thats a long long way off. Maggie mother Vespa wont have another litter until 2026. But we hope to have a 3rd and final litter from Yennefer in 2025 and we are mating her to Eddie.
