Tango has had a very busy life with us here at Silvestre, and he is a very very contented dog. Everyone comments that meets him on his endearing nature. Even abroad from other breeders they all say he has an exceptional temperament. Tango was bred by our friend Sophie Burden of Karaszy's Dogs. Her lovely girl Laura who came from Russia but with Hungarian Bloodlines was mated to Hector in Holland. She gave birth and Tango was one of those lovely ginger ninja babies. I collected him and I will never forget the day we picked him up. My friend came along for the ride and he fidgeted all the way home. But the moment he came in the door it was like he was meant to be here, he fitted straight in. He was not the easiest puppy as he was a chewer, but soon as those stages passed he became a dreamy dog to own. Tango has been trained to a high standard as we knew we would show him and he needed to be a very sociable dog. He is so sociable he is able to be handled by other dog handlers as well as us. He just wants to please and he is a great asset to us. Tango is a stud dog to our own bitches and very few outside bitches. Mainly those people who we know or have been recommended to us. We never seek out studs for our dogs because we like to keep our dogs fresh, healthy for our own use. So if you enquire to use Tango at stud the answer could be no. Tango started his show career right at dog training club. Where he won best puppy in match, and the next one he won reserve best puppy in match. A friend helped me show him as a puppy as I was struggling with my illness and he won 2 Best puppy in shows one at an Open show for Gundogs and another for the Hungarian Vizsla club show. A high honour indeed. He then went onto win other best puppy's. He won best puppy in breed at a Championship show, and was short listed in the puppy group. This was at Southern Counties. Steve Palmer handled him as a youngster but has not handled him now for over 15 months. As he brought a new Weimaraner puppy and wanted to show him instead and its very difficult running between rings. I asked for help with Melissa Finch who shows dogs in Europe and she said she would help show him abroad for us. This opened up something I never thought possible. The opportunity to go for a different title. Tango won with me handling him in the UK a challenge Certificate, and then I saved up money and sent him abroad to various countries. He is a well travelled dog, and is better travelled than us. We finally achieved the title just over 14 months from the first CACIB. Ive got to decide now what I shall do, as I always have something I’m trying to achieve and once Ive done it I tend to move on to something else. I am in the process of training my new younger boy who will be shown in the UK and Europe. The dogs have to enjoy it, and Tango really loves his days out, he is friendly to everyone and is a happy dog. I would say his most favourite thing of all is our yearly caravan holiday in Cornwall. He loves the ocean and retrieves his ball for hours. All my friends know how Tango loves balls, he is a ballohollic. He sleeps with his balls, he collects balls, he has balls with us where ever we go. It’s his thing! Some of his kids have also got the love of balls. Water and balls is just the icing on the cake for Tango. He is a keen swimmer, and a good all round fun dog. He loves the Lake District as well and goes swimming in the Lakes. He sleeps in the caravan on his blanket and doesn’t move a muscle all night long. He is a wonderful companion, good friend and is a dog that we can take anywhere in the world and he is just happy to be with us. I know I could go on and on about his show wins, but actually this dog, this wonderful dog is more than a show dog. He is a big personality in our home, and everyone just loves him. He wins everyone over with his cuddling.
