I can say that calling two dogs Brandi and Candy has been a real tongue twister here and I would not advise it lol.

Brandi has always been like an old wise woman, a thinker! Intelligent and can work out if it benefits her to do what you ask her to do. She does it but you can see her thinking "WHY"!

I remember she was born into my hands, wriggling around and taking those early few gasps and I looked at her and thought I wonder if you will be staying with us. I knew one sibling had been booked for the show ring, and we would have the other. Brandi's mum was Ripley and Ripley was my best show girl ive produced before these girls. Ive had show girls and yes they have done well, but Ripley was on another level of perfect. Until the day Ripley headed a ball with her snout and it hit a tree and she knocked her teeth out. Show career over! I wanted another Ripley and my only way was to breed her to keep one. I never wanted to breed Ripley at all, sometimes the best show dogs you just show and breed a lot later. Ripley did so well in Europe as well. . But when she knocked her tooth out that was it as it also fractured the gum area. I was so disappointed! Accidents happen. Then came Brandi.

Brandi started off really enjoying shows and she did very well. Then as the hormones hit she was less enthusiastic. She worked out she would rather be at home. So we dropped her from the ring for a bit as this sometimes is just whats needed. Brandi is currently having a phantom pregnancy and laying down a lot of weight. So I need to get that off her when she's stopped.

Brandi is a great traveller and she has been to Belgium with us. She won the CAC and CACIB. This is like a two edged sword as you win with a youngster but then in the UK shows you have to jump classes to where all the champions are and they are a young dog. So another reason we dropped her from UK shows as she needs now to grow up. Id love to take her back to Belgium this year and see if we can win another CAC and CACIB. But we have been waiting for the pets passport scheme to start again. It's so very very expensive going to dog shows in Europe and if we can have passports again it will help us a lot to travel with our dogs. Plus with the talks of wars, and unrest we do not like travelling too far away from home. Our other dogs must come before shows. We want Brandi to do equally as well here as in Europe.

Brandi's favourite toy is a Kong lion she sucks to death. It got so tatty I had to replaced it recently. Already it looks a bit worse for wear as she is a NOOKER! Have you heard of that expression? It's where dogs paddle with their feet and suck blankets or a toy which goes back to when they were puppies. Brandie still nooks.

Brandi loves going out as you can see from the photos. She is a good girl. I took her to the woods at 8 weeks let her have a run around and this put her in good stead for going out. She was put in the pram and walked when she couldn't.

Brandi has the most beautiful temperament that she gets from her parents. She reminds me of Maverick more than Ripley some days. She also has one quirk he has. When they want food, they sit and hold one leg up and stroke the air as if to say PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can I have some din dins. It's rather endearing to see it. She also does it if she wants a walk badly but has been told to sit patiently please. She lifts her leg and waves it about. Aw she really is just lovely.

Brandi is a Maverick daughter and I can see him in her such a lot. She has a feminine Maverick head. She's very beautiful. I am so pleased to have Brandi.

To sum her up in words "Wise woman, Beautiful, Sensitive, Kind, Gentle, ball chaser"!
