CRUFTS QUALIFIED 2025
STAND OUT SHOW POINTS - 2 BEST PUPPY IN BREED, 1 RESERVE BEST OF BREED, 1 BEST OF BREED, 2 GROUP 3
Brandi came into my hands literally in February 2024 when she was born, and at the time of course I did not know it would be her that would be staying with us. We do not like to choose a show dog until 7 weeks of age, even if we get glimpses of what we are looking for earlier. Her mum is called Ripley.
Her sister Ivy has gone to live with Diane and she has already done her mum proud with qualifying for Crufts 2025.
Time flew by and from that baby to show girl Brandi went into the ring. She has done us proud and qualified for Crufts. She has won each show she has gone to date with Group places ( EEK Face plant a kiss on her chops). Is she really mine I ask myself when I look at her. She is something special.
We own both her mum and dad, and both have been great show dogs for us. Maverick is not too keen on the show ring, but Ripley is a natural.
Brandis character is still very puppy in many ways, and she does get into mischief some days. She is a bit of a talker, and this she gets from her mum. She will announce we have arrived at destination and talks for a good five minutes. Anyone that owns a Vizsla will know they chitter chatter. Some more than others.
She is a lovely Russet Gold colour, straight limbs, fantastic fore chest bone and depth of chest. Lovely constructed and moves out really well.
Brandi loves to play and she will get apples from the orchard and chuck them around. She has zooms with her younger friends Whiskey and Candy. Brandi is crate trained and has never messed in the house to date even from 6 weeks of age.
It is so sweet to see Ripley looking after her and she grooms her with licking her face. She is very sweet with her and she knows she is her child. They play together and Ripley will guide Brandi in play. Brandi has had no real interest in the ball, but recently she has started to run after a ball. I never over exercise young puppies as it's not good for the hips. But she is now alittle older and can do more.
Brandi does not like her nails being trimmed and makes a hell of a noise. She lets me trim them no problem but she squeals as if Im chopping toes off. I will be glad when this stage has passed.
Brandi has been out with us several places, and we are building on this all the time even though she is older now. Brandi is not of puppy bearing age, and we have no plans on breeding her for the time being. We took Brandi to a county show when she was a little baby and this really put her in good stead to go in places which are noisy and she pays no attention.
Hopefully in the next few weeks I will get some more photos of Brandi out with us on walks.
Brandi will have rabies vaccine done and taken to Europe. We have had a year at home so far, but she will be old enough next year to do a few. We have been putting our time into other ventures. But we will go back to showing, and next year there is a few shows I would like to do.
