Hello and welcome
We are very proud to introduce our dogs through our website. My name is Mrs Rachel Savage Dip CBT and Im married to Darryl and we are owners of Silvestre show dogs team.
Our affix is Silvestre which was granted by the Kennel club many years ago.
We hold a 5 star breeding license with our local council.
We are home rearers and our adult dogs live in our home. We are lucky that our house is big, and we have a huge dog room dedicated to the adults. So no dog is outside in Kennels. Puppies are raised in our lounge and spare room.
We are what you call preservation breeders which means protecting the centuries of breeders pedigree dogs. Not mixing them with other breeds and selectively breeding to fit and healthy dogs.
We are experienced breeders and I am at home all the time with our dogs.
Our home is set amongst 4 acres of paddocks and our dogs have a wonderful life with us.
We breed Bracco Italiano puppies and Hungarian Vizsla puppies.
We also have 3 pet French bulldogs, and 1 girl who could potentially have a litter to retain our bloodline.

I am a behaviourist and dogs are my life. I am happy to help new owners from other breeders. Ask for my fees.
We believe here in Enrichment for our puppies and giving them the best start possible. I. have references from not just puppy owners but professionals who have come to our home to have puppies. We give them the world whilst we can during the 8 weeks and you have this wonderful blank canvas to work with.
Our puppies are on a house training program with us and when you go home they will quickly pick up what they have remembered. Some at 8 weeks are fully house trained.
Over the years my dedication to our canine friends means I have took courses to learn more about dogs. Im proud of my achievements from first aid courses, to microchipping, attended health seminars, behaviourist, kennel club seminars to judge dogs. Plus animal care and welfare course in college and dog grooming. NVQ 2 and 3.
All this knowledge helps you and it helps your puppy as I can give qualified advice. It has been a lifetime of love in dogs and how to care for them properly. Understanding development of puppies to make sure every need is met. Even today I learn new things and a true dog person will always tell you this. We are seeing a new breed of breeder thats occurred since Covid and sadly they have a lot to learn and yet are world experts already in the course of 3 years. It takes a lifetime and being around those stock man breeders of yesterday, who mentor with in the show world.
With the very bad reputation dog breeders seem to have in the UK, we decided we wanted to stand out with our principles and our goals. We do everything to the best of our ability. When we breed we are always studying bloodlines. We do not just import dogs we know the blood lines we bring to our breeding. We breed to the Kennel club breed standard.
The majority of our puppies are sold to loving pet homes.
I am not looking for show homes or working homes as some do. I want loving pet homes where the dog is laying in front of the fireplace and part of the family. This is what is important to us.
We do not sell to people which keep their dogs in kennels all the time.
My adult dogs live in the home with us, and daytimes they can play in our beautiful gardens. They have sofas at night or crates depending on how old they are.
We are committed to their welfare, and we health tests all our dogs above and beyond what is required by the Kennel club suggestions. We firmly believe the more we put into our dogs the better health wise they will be.
We love showing our dogs, but we will always tell you that its not the rosettes or trophies that define a dog. It proves they are good enough to be bred from but cuddling up on the sofa at night with our pack of dogs is far worth anything done in the ring. I think most show folk feel the same way.
We believe if a dog has a bad temperament it should not be bred with. Because we have to live with these dogs, they should be excellent in all aspects. There is no point owning a champion if it has a bad temperament. As temperament can be passed on or learnt.
We have excellent knowledge on diet of the raw diet in dogs and our dogs get a varied quality diet. This shows in their skin and coat health. Our dogs rarely see vets due to the minimal use of flea and wormers and vaccines. We believe in Titre testing and being as holistic as possible.

Puppies available sometimes from health tested parents.
We have here some of the best bloodlines from dogs worldwide. From well known and respected breeders that have gone before us. It has been a privilege to work along side these breeders to continue exceptional bloodlines. I am proud to mentor other new breeders who come into our breeds and need advice because this is the only way you learn. Social media does not account for the in-depth knowledge you need.
We do not always breed to show dogs, we will introduce a steady working line occasionally and this is to keep the breed true to its heritage. We avoid neurotic bloodlines and we also use a pet dog if they show the ability to be constructionally sound.
Our puppy owners have lots to say how happy they are with Silvestre puppies, and you enter a family when you buy a puppy from us. They will all share with you tips, secrets and day to day things related to their dogs. You get great support if needed, and if not needed do not worry we are not hounding you.
Our puppies go away with goodies from us because we care. I get told often that they have never had a breeder who has shown so much dedication to the puppies they had from previous breeders before. Thats very kind of you to say so.
We do go the extra mile and send each puppy out with a health certificate. Vets do not always know everything about breeds, and especially the Bracco Italiano. So do take note if we have something to tell you as our knowledge is breed specialist advice.
I go the extra mile in caring for puppies as I do not hold another job and im here 24/7 with your puppy and I can teach them a lot. I never leave our puppies with strangers so if I have to go out my son and his fiancee have the puppies. I would not have the dogs if I could not do it this way as its personal, family and the dogs deserve the best from us.
Our adult dogs are worm counted to make sure they have no parasites.

If you can text me around 10.30 am in the morning I will answer and arrange to call you back during a time that suits us both. Although I do not do evenings. You may think this is odd, but I have fibromyalgia and anyone with ME and fatigue knows that by late afternoon your energy goes completely. Because I have so much to do on a daily basis I limit my calls to 2 phone call appointments per day. If Im showing then weekends are out. But you can text me and see if I am about.
