Vespa has had two wonderful litters with us, both to different sires. I was so impressed with her puppies I wished I had kept one. But the timing was not right for me. I could have a third with her, but I think more than likely I am retiring her. Breeding the Bracco seems to age the dog more than other breeds. I wish her to have a long and healthy life with us as a pet now.
Vespa was a Yenna baby from her first litter. Also Letty was her sister and she lives with our son Joshua as a pet. He has no desires to breed from Letty. Letty has been to Crufts show and has been placed highly at championship shows, but her show career is over. She spends her days on their sofa as the queen she is.
Vespa is Orange and white, and marked beautifully. As a puppy I couldnt believe what a beautiful puppy she was. We showed her lightly and she qualified for Crufts over and over. Winning best bitch puppy in breed at few times.
What I love about Vespa is her easy going personality, and she loves to sit and just look out the window and watch the birds. She is so sweet. She loves playing with a ball, and is fit and healthy.
One of Vespa's quirks is she loves a bath and I mean really loves a bath but it has to be hot water. If she thinks it's bath day she will get over excited. She also loves to be towel dried and enjoys every minute. Some dogs would run a mile but nope not her.
Vespa has perfect recall and always had good recall. She wants to please, and she is so well behaved.
Vespa is so kind and loving. Is not aware of personal space and would get inside my skin. They talk of Vizsla being the only velcro dog, well clearly they aren't Bracco owners. The Bracco loves nothing more than to be with you all the time. Vespa is so sweet and calm. Everyone says they have never seen such a calm dog before. This comes down to early social skills and just letting them be part of the family.
Vespa did obedience training as a pup and she did ring craft training for the show ring. She has done so well at shows we are proud of her. Winning classes from puppy to post grad. Her last show she got a 3rd in the big girls class.
Vespa is raw fed as we believe. Braccos should be naturally raised with no vaccine, and given a quality diet of raw natural foods. The reason is skin issues in the breed. They are a breed which naturally will get skin issues due to their huge amount of elastic skin they have. My girls have no skin issues because of the way they are reared. Quality diets are proteins, offal and bone with fruits. Vespa thrives and looks a picture of health on her diet. Every morning Vespa has natural treats which she loves.
Vespa is Titre tested, but has Lepto 2 vaccine yearly.
So for now Vespa is retired, unless I suddenly decide differently. But I think she has done such an amazing job with her two litters that I am going to say thats enough for Vespa. We have one other breeding Bracco which I hope to keep a girl from. It will take our line in a slightly different direction now.

Critique From Judge: Silvestre Destiny is a Beast. I loved her! She has the bone and substance that I like and combines it with a noble almost square appearance. Deep chest, moderately short and well rounded neck and a typical topline. Her head is lovely and well chiselled. She moves so very well in typical Bracco style. Sympathetically handed.
