For those of you that love to follow Geralt, you will of course see him on Instagram, but I have updated his page on the website in Gallery section and he has more pictures to view now, plus his parents are on the page too.

Hi everyone,
I am at this present time, caring for my very elderly mother whose health took a turn for the worse. I have tried to carry on regardless. But I have decided that over the next month that I really want to dedicate more of my time to mum. It is very draining watching someone you love dwindle in front of you. Luckily mum is at home with us, and with the help of carers I am doing all the rest. I am not super woman, I am on the go all the time, but exhausted at the moment. I just do not have the time for phone calls. We are expecting puppies and during July will have a litter for sale, although we have many people waiting. I still have to breed my dogs to have an income to support their needs also. But I can not keep emailing people, or speaking to people on the phone just at this time. Once babies are in my hands I will know then what I have and also my family are going to be supportive and help as they always do so I can be in two places if need be. Team Silvestre are never left home alone as this is a busy household. We are also going to mate another girl now who has over shot her season, and because she has done this she will be 2 before being mated. So we will have an autumn litter which I have taken NO reservations for. At the end of July I will welcome enquiries to go on her waiting list. We will be using our own stud dog Indiana on Maisie, and she is health tested and mature in every way now. You can see photos of her on my website. I will try to pick up emails, or text messages, but I would prefer if you acknowledge I need a few weeks until I can get back on track again. Dogs take up a huge percentage of the day with exercise and enrichment games. Once we get puppies you get whats app videos and messages all the time with little updates, Visits will be done socially distanced at 5 weeks of age and pick up pups is at 8 weeks. We will endeavour to do our best to make your whole puppy experience just what you wanted. We know how exciting it all is. Now take care everyone, and speak to you soon. Rachel xx I have just updated Maisies page with some new photographs. She is now a beautiful young adult who is just super. Full of the joys of life, I think the best way to describe her is "Life is good'!
R x I realised I have not updated the puppy gallery in ages, so I have added a page 4 in the puppy gallery section. I do have a lot more I can add to this another day.
I have also added on Geralts page his parents at the bottom of the page. Plus I have updated grandparents info on some of the Vizsla pages if you scroll to bottom. Gradually I will fill in the rest. I am also writing a new diet page for the website, which will be online soon. Once again many thanks for reading. As many of you know I am selling dog products via instagram page or people contact me on my mobile. Lots of air dried treats for dogs. From ethically sourced companies which only use UK or Europe meats.
I am now testing an trialling some natural soaps from Debbie Green, I cant wait to try them this week. I also have balm to try out. Once tried and happy, I will then sell a selection of natural soaps made from Debbie, more info will be given then. Its great I have enough dogs here to give them a whirl. The soaps contain oils which repel fleas and ticks, so a great natural benefit if you wish to wash your dog in a holistic soap. Cant wait to start stocking some of these items. Bear us in mind if you are looking for a new soap which is holistic. @silvestre.showdogs I never like to put across that I know everything in the world about dogs. The knowledge I have is experience.
The one thing over the years that became evident is our dogs are living shorter lives. They are having dreadful reactions to drugs given to them by the veterinary profession. We can not do with out conventional veterinary, but along side this we can work with animals and treat them holistically. Dogs which are spayed too early or neutered males too early are developing health issues. I knew this many years ago, but its not until studies within science is done to confirm it, that everyone sits up and says, oh! this is new this is true. Their are some breeds which are predisposed to cancers, but the trigger is taking away the dogs hormones. Can these breeds be developed not to have cancer? Probably not, because their are also other influences that we as humanity can not control. But you can give your dog every chance by doing the right thing. One of the cancers listed as being prominent in dogs neutered, is Mast Cell tumours. Something for you to think about. Read the Hoffman study online to widen your knowledge. One of the worst things Im seeing online at the moment is dogs dying, after being given a wormer/flea treatment tablet. Its absolutely shocking, watching videos of dogs fitting and dying. I cant stand it, so I am writing to you all to say, stop giving your dogs as much chemicals. Chemicals which are designed to kill parasites are in fact poisons. This is having a major effect in our animals today. A labradors died this week from having not only chemical flea/wormer but also its vaccines. Died with in hours. Now you maybe lucky and your dog is fine this year, but it does not mean next year it will be. As the building up of chemicals in the dogs body is going to have an effect sadly. If you do not feel comfortable treating holistically and want to do one conventional flea treatment a year, I would say do it April time or September as these are the two times fleas are increasing. But treat holistically the rest of the year. If you are comfortable going holistic fantastic. I speak to so many people with such variance in view points that the most important thing to say is "Its up to you"! Im never going to flay anyone for worming monthly but I will cringe inside. You can detox your pet after vaccines/wormers etc by giving milk thistle. Most milk thistle product labels will give instructions on use. This can help the internal organs by detoxing them from flea, wormer and vaccines, if you choose to go down the route of giving your pet these treatments. Go on U TUBE and follow Dr Karen Becker, who is coming up with so many articles of help for dogs today. https://youtu.be/PMWxVG3jAno COPY AND PASTE INTO YOUR SEARCH in U tube. A healthy dog fed raw foods has a strong immune system. A dog with a strong immune system will not catch parasites, as they tend to choose a dog which doesn't have such a great immune system. Give your pet raw foods, but boost immunity by good foods. A healthy dog will live longer in the long run. We use here at Silvestre a lot of holistic approaches in our dogs daily lives. Neem oil shampoo is a favourite of mine. It is not a cure for no ticks, no fleas, but it is a repellant. Their is a difference. I have a spray bottle with apple cider vinegar, eucalyptus oil, cat nip, and I spray the dogs if I go to the woodlands. I am doing everything I can holistically to deter a tick from wanting to jump on the dog for a feast. Instead of relying on poisons in the blood to kill the tick, I am putting a smell on the coat which repulses ticks so they wont bite the blood. I cant remember the last time we had a tick. But I would if I could just use a tick removal tool. We worry about lymes disease in dogs, but the tick has to bite the skin for limes to transfer. But think about it, if the tick jumps on and bites the blood, and the bloods has poison in it the tick dies off. But the tick has still bitten, and lymes can be transferred still. So why use the poison in the first place? It is better to buy a Tick removal tool pen, and take the tick off and dispose of tick correctly. Do not smother tick in vaseline, or burn it because if the tick regurgitates the blood back into the dog from shock, the dog can get lymes. Remove it properly with your tool. Fleas and worms live together. On the backs of fleas are worm eggs, clever!!! So if you repel the fleas most likely your dog wont have worms either. If the dog licks the flea in the coat the eggs transfer to mouth and your dog then has worms. So better to repel fleas with holistic oils than poison the dog with pharmaceutical products. So what would I do if I had a flea infestation, luckily Ive never had one. I will agree that in some severe cases then using a one off product maybe all the choice you have, but I would certainly try every holistic method first. Fleas live in carpets, under floor boards, so if you do get a massive infestation you may have to opt for more harsher methods. But I would certainly wait for that day to come, as the more you can do holistically the healthier the dog will be, and longer living the dog will be. |
