It was stag weekend this weekend. Stag is an event run by the French bulldog club and only dogs can enter who have qualified by gaining so many points in the year. I am thrilled to say Delilah did qualify and went along to the event. Her owner Beverly kept me up to date how it all went. She was short listed to 5th in the event, so the 5th best Bitch in the event. Thats pretty amazing considering it is a high volume breed. Their was a Halloween theme this year. Apparently next year will be the 1920’s. The organisers should be congratulated as they do a fantastic job.
Delilah is just the most amazing dog, because she is not just a show Frenchie, she does Scentwork, she goes on a shoot, and she is now starting a new sport where they have to scent rats in a barn. I tell Bev that Delilah has a better social life than I do. Bev replied saying Delilah is her social life. All I can say is what a great team they are. She also went to the French bulldog champ show and judge Frank Kane who you will see as a commentator on the TV gave her 2nd place in Limit bitch and said he was impressed with how fit she is. Again another great compliment.

This weekend was South Wales Championship show.
Wow The beautiful one Delilah a French bulldog who is my Cookies sister went to the show and won limit bitch and the RCC. How wonderful, we are so proud of her owner and she puts so much into her dogs. One day a show dog and the next day she has started training to detect where rats are. I didn't realise it was a sport but apparently it is. Wallaroo Hawk Eye was 2nd place in Junior and 1st place in GCD glass. He is a Tango son. Wallaroo All That jazz was 3rd place in open and he is a Chilli son. Silvestre Scarlett witch was 3rd place in junior bitch and 1st in GCD class. Well done to their owners. Spice the search and rescue dog was doing helicopter training today. I also understand her friend Lani will be joining her soon. Kip the Vizsla also started Search and rescue training in a different area. The Hungarian Vizsla Club Championship show was held Sunday.
Logan a Tango Son bred by Mrs A Porter Manning and Mr G Porter was handled by Graham in Junior Class and won 1st place in Junior Class. Jack a Chilli Son bred by Mrs A Porter Manning and Mr G Porter was handled by Angie in Limit dog and was 3rd place. Well done on your wins. Other news: Homesteads Workshop News Instagram workshophomestead Facebook @homesteadsworkshop50 When my husband had an accident at work last year he couldn't go out to work, and he has set up a business at home making resin coffee tables, bottle cap tables, shotgun cartridges in tables, pennies in tables and colour pencils. They are unique and a great add to your lounge. Also other gifts in wood. Also Christmas trees, lights with dogs of any breed be it pedigree or cross breed. Check out the facebook page for more details and ordering by PM. Check out our new dog bed furniture for the family home. Made from reclaimed scaffold boards. These seem very popular and great Christmas presents for the dog. Order yours soon so that you will receive in time for Christmas. We do sizes small, medium, large. Bedding is not included in this, as people do like to dress them up themselves. But we can provide bedding if you wish at extra costs. Another new bed is in the making using lighter wood, and hopefully will work out a cheaper option. Check out silvestre.showdogs on instagram for photos. We also now make collars from paracord to order. To order you must measure your dogs neck exactly as shown on the message I can send you. I make ones that do not enlarge, but also ones that do plus ones with a small chain. Leads can be made to match collars. Also slip leads which are great value for money, strong and colourful. We also have a range of dog products which belong to Bucked Off Equestrian and we can bring these to our home and sell on their behalf. They have a showroom now, but its mainly online sales of equestrian goods such as bridles. But now dog products are being sold from leather lead sets which are cheaper, to very expensive ones, plus fabric. |
