Cookie the French bulldog went to our vet a few weeks ago for a health test called "The french bulldog club bronze test", not only did she pass this with flying colours but she also qualified for the silver certificate as well.  This healthy madam who is the joy of our lives is in a word fit as a fiddle.
 Our vet sees many french bulldogs because unfortunately so many are bred unhealthy.  She was so pleased to run a Frenchie for 5 minutes at a quick march and have no breathing issues, and she said wow! Great nostrils, and her patellas don't slip out as if that is something else she's dealing with a lot.  She was quite impressed.

So I hope to have a litter with her in 2019.  I know that seems a long way off, but we go through a series of health tests first.  Each one is a stage closer to the eventual breeding.   I do have a lovely boy in mind for her.  

Her mother is Eastonite Bubbles who of course we own.  So Bubbles produced us super duper babies.  Bubbles will be mated in 2018 but as yet I still do not know when she will come into season.  She seems to be rather unpredictable but when she does we will be mating her.   Im still trying to find a male for her, and Im getting closer to decisions now. 

Just remember we do not breed UNRECOGNISED colours which are cross breeds.  We will maintain the correct colour, pure bred pedigree french bulldogs, and we are now in the minority as so many are interbred with collies, pitbull, staffy, and others.  Our french bulldogs are pure bred french bulldogs.

Gucci puppies are doing so well, they have now filled out and look like proper little puppies.  We are going with names themed from Indiana Jones.  Im sure you will all know the movies, The Lost Ark, The Temple of Doom, The last crusade and The Crystal Skull.  The names will be submitted to the Kennel club when the puppies are 3 weeks old.  The names which we have accepted will then be told to you when you visit us.  The names will be a play on words. 

I can confirm that we have mated Tango to Ginga and puppies due May 2018.  For those of you who missed out on Gucci litter then we can transfer you to Ginga, but you need to let me know your still wanting one.  Such a shame that Gucci tragically lost so many.  She is however fit and healthy and that is all we can be grateful for.  Also one puppy is staying with us at Team Silvestre, and will be in the show ring later in the year, if all goes to plan.

Crufts 2018 was Sunday 11th March Gun dog day.

Tango was 2nd in Open dog.
Chilli was 2nd in Veteran dog. 
​Dexter was 4th in Open dog. 

Chilli's son Jack was 2nd in Post Grad dog. Bred by A Porter-Manning. 

Tango's son was 2nd in Junior dog, and his daughter was 4th in junior bitch.  Bred by C Sutherland. 

We must not forget those who didn't get places as its a real honour to even qualify.

Well don't to the winners at Crufts, and especially to Donna with Fin who won Best in Breed and he is the daddy of our current litter with Gucci.
