Its been a weekend of news here at Silvestre.
We have news with the Silvestre Frenchie team in the UK who are scent dogs. I shall update their info as soon as it comes in.
Our news is that Indie travelled to Switzerland in Geneva Thursday and he is now a Swiss Show champion. We are so very grateful to Rachael Bailey who helped us with this and is his mummy for the weekend. With out her help and the help of others who travelled from the UK and Ireland this would not of been possible for us. We hope now to go to a few shows in Europe during 2023. We have plans. We have a team of four show dogs at the moment who will take turns in trips into Europe and also show in the UK also. Exciting times indeed. I already have Indies champion title certificate, talk about efficient. Yet we are still waiting for certificates from the UK kennel club from last October.
Maisie puppies reached 8 weeks of age, veterinary checked and off they went
It is a pure joy to see happy owner faces when they collect their new babies. It sounds like every one has also been very good with house training. We have a system which seems to really help with the house training skills. Of course we wouldn't expect a baby to hold themselves at this stage. Remember we wouldn't put a human baby in a cot and expect it not to wee. Same for puppies but if it does work then its great for all.
Our next litter is from Roux and we are now seeing her tummy grow every single day and she is slowing up. This will be Goose first sired litter so it will be interesting to see what is produced. Im hoping to keep a girl. But I bet they're will be all boys now I have said my wishes. We have now a waiting list of people who are looking forward to their puppies. Plus Im taking now a reserve list because Im certain she will have more than the amount of people I have taken names down. I am slack on doing paperwork at the moment and their is one more person I have to send our agreement too. We decided to do an agreement to go on the waiting lists just because 2022 we have had the biggest amount of time wasters than we have done in all the years Ive bred dogs. It not only messes us around but we loose then fabulous homes who would of had a puppy. So our system is working and this is now how we will proceed for the future.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been in contact with me recently about a Roux puppy. It is really heartening that some of you understand the need to buy from a proper breeder rather than back yard breeding. It is very sad the trade in dogs and its being fuelled by everyone that parts with their money to these breeders. We had began to think people didn't care as there are more unregistered breeders than licensed breeders. I could find hundreds of adverts right now if I looked. I don't have the time ha ha.
It has given me hope that their are people now understanding that going to the right breeder is important for puppy welfare.
So a big thankyou from us xx
